Hey boys and germs, I am requesting a bit of help with a USB our school gave us.

My school gave everyone in the school a 16gb usb to use as file storage (obviously), but we need them to log onto the mac laptops that we use at school. The problem is that the jew technicians decided that they would split the usb into two parts: Pc and Mac, Mac has 13gb of space, PC has 3gb of space, I can access the pc folder from a mac but can't access the mac folder from a pc. I want to make it so that there is just the one folder that has the full 16gb, but making it so that I can still log on to the computers with it (can't log on without it)

Well the answer to the last part is you can't. It sounds like they are using the 13GB 'Partition' as login authentication.

As for making the entire pen-drive recognisable within windows would just require going into Computer Management and deleting all the partitions and re-creating a FAT32 table.

This would work on Mac computers then as they can see both Fat32 and NTFS.

The reason you cannot see the 13GB on a windows PC is because they cannot see HFS partitions, there might be a ' Hack ' too allow them to do this. However then you will probably have the issue from where you cannot install this onto Windows machines at the school.

And nice one for the 16GB. We only got 2GB's here! I had to pay a premium a few year back to get my 16GB
